The 0ERG will use citizen inputs, obtained through dialogue with key stakeholders, including local communities, civil society organizations, political parties, the private sector, and other social partners, in pursuit of a citizen’s reform agenda.
ERG’s engagements will include urban, rural and hinterland communities while embracing diversity in all forms including age, ethnic, religious, and regional diversities. The dialogues will address community insecurities, concerns, demands and priorities, and will also be informed by technical expert inputs.
ERG thus seeks to foster trust and cooperation among disparate social groups in developing consensus electoral reform options through social dialogue.
To implement this proposal, ERG plans to rely heavily on volunteer capacities. Fund raising efforts will prioritize local sources, with care being taken to preserve the ERG’s reputation and independence.
To support the work at hand, ERG will recruit staff and establish a secretariat.
